I’m a poet and editor with a love for language and for working to make any writing the best it can be. I earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing; have published two chapbooks of poetry along with dozens of poems in literary magazines and articles in scholarly publications; and have 20 years of experience supporting others with their writing. Check out some of my publications here.

My Approach

Writing is personal. Like a good outfit, it expresses who we are. The way we communicate determines the way we move about in the world; it affects our relationships; it helps us clarify how we think and feel. I’m not the kind of editor who sits behind a big desk. (Actually, I don’t even own a desk.) My approach is collaborative. I seek to understand how you want to communicate and will replicate that tone and style with my editing. Before we get started, we’ll discuss how you’d like to present yourself and your work, what depth of support you need (and what you don’t), and how we can make your writing, website, or project the best it can be. I love making sentences sound clear, concise, fabulous. I love making great ideas into great writing.
